Important Notice: ALEH –> ADI

Dear Friends,

Since its establishment in 1982, with the opening of the first center in Bnei Brak, ALEH has grown into a network of four branches throughout Israel including Gedera, Jerusalem and, in 2005, the ALEH-Negev village. Over the years, ALEH has experienced tremendous growth, as well as increasing diversification and specialization.

To foster further growth and enable effective operation, the Board of Directors has decided to go forward as two separate networks.

ALEH Jerusalem and ALEH Negev will continue together in a new network under the name «ADI» («jewel» in Hebrew). The Bnei Brak and Gedera branches will retain the existing name, «ALEH». We will be working with ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and ADI Jerusalem as the ADI development team in Europe and Asia.

This change will have no effect on  the babies, children, young adults and adults entrusted to our care. ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and ADI Jerusalem will continue to provide optimal care for our residents with severe multiple disabilities.

Additionally, we will be able to increase our services to external children and provide them with a wide range of services, such as therapeutic farms, daytime activities, special education and outpatient treatments and expand our parental information services for parents of a child/children with disabilities.

Upon completion of the new rehabilitation hospital in the Negev next year, we expect a major increase in the number of internal and external rehabilitation patients. While ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran and ADI Jerusalem will emphasize education, rehabilitation and community inclusion for people of all ages,  ALEH Bnei Brak and ALEH Gedera will mainly focus on residential care and special education for school-age children with disabilities.

In the coming weeks, ADI will announce its new logo and website. We will keep you informed of this progress through our regular communication process. If you have any questions or would like to speak to us personally about this change, do not hesitate to contact us by email or by phone. We will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have and provide a personal explanation.

With best regards,
